The Online 1-2-1 Swim Technique Session is a focused, personal coaching session with F4L Head Coach Paul Jones, a British Triathlon Level 3 Coach and IRONMAN Certified Coach with nearly twenty years of experience coaching swimmers and triathletes of all abilities.

This isn’t a video library. It isn’t an automated feedback tool. It’s a real conversation, with a real coach, looking at your real stroke.


What’s Included

Video Analysis of Your Stroke Before the session, you’ll record yourself swimming (poolside footage is fine — we’ll guide you on how). Paul reviews your footage in detail before you meet, so you’re not wasting time on the basics. You arrive to the session already knowing what we’re working on.

A Live 1-2-1 Coaching Session A focused online session where Paul walks you through exactly what’s happening in your stroke — head position, catch, pull, kick, breathing pattern, body rotation — and explains what it’s costing you in the water and what to change.

A Clear, Prioritised Action Plan You won’t leave with a list of twenty things to fix. You’ll leave with two or three key changes, explained clearly, with drills and cues that make sense — and that you can use in your very next pool session.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer? Not at all. This session is suitable for any level — from those who are learning freestyle for the first time to experienced triathletes looking to shave time off their swim split. Paul has coached swimmers of all abilities for nearly twenty years.

How do I record my swim footage? You don’t need any specialist equipment. A poolside phone video of you swimming 2–3 lengths is enough to get started. Paul will guide you on what to record and how to send it ahead of the session.

What platform do we use for the session? Sessions are run via Zoom or Google Meet — whatever works best for you.

How quickly can I book? Sessions are typically available within the week. Once you’ve purchased, you’ll be contacted to arrange a time that suits you.

Will I actually notice a difference? Most athletes notice changes in their feel and efficiency within the first session back in the pool. The improvements compound over weeks as the new movement patterns become automatic.
