Athlete Intro: Kris

Athlete: Kris Bower

How long have you been in Triathlon: started training summer/autumn 2011, first official triathlon (Olympic distance in June 2012)

What is your back ground: I am American. I live in Switzerland. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. I work as a Project Manager in Quality Assurance, Bio-pharmaceutical production. I did not have much endurance training at all before starting triathlon. My favorite sport to play as a youngster was baseball.

Greatest achievement outside Triathlon: marrying my best friend…in Hawaii…the day after she competed in Kona for the 2nd time. Oh, and surviving to my 42nd birthday, thus far.

Why do you do Triathlon: It’s pretty simple; it kicks ass to say I am a triathlete and have completed long distance races. (But I guess the training and fitness makes me feel good, too. J)

What attracted you to F4L: Paul is a brilliant, dedicated, experienced coach, who delivers outstanding value for the money!

What are your targets: to once again stand healthy on the start line and make it to finish line of 70.3 and 140.6 in 2019.

Sum up F4L (in one line!): A family of very dedicated athletes!
